Off-Road Bike Seized Following Community Concerns in Rochdale

Following reports from local residents regarding the ongoing issue of off-road bikes being ridden across rural land in the Rochdale area, officers have been carrying out proactive patrols to address concerns around anti-social behaviour, public safety and damage to local land.

Whilst on patrol, officers observed an off-road motorcycle being ridden across fields. Following engagement with those involved and subsequent enquiries, the vehicle was found to be being used unlawfully and was seized under Operation Dragster.

This action forms part of our ongoing commitment to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. We understand the impact that nuisance off-road bikes can have on residents, landowners and those enjoying our countryside, and we will continue to take positive action where offences are identified.
